Reflection principles in stable and NIP theories
Abstract:
The problem of reflection is the following: given a set A inside a
first order structure M, to what extent properties of A involving
parameters in M can be seen entirely from inside A itself ? I will
present a strong reflection principle, corresponding to stable
theories, and a weaker one, corresponding to NIP theories.
No prior knowledge of any of those notions will be assumed.
