=========== Ankündigung =========== Am Donnerstag, 05.11.2009, spricht im Oberseminar Partielle Differentialgleichungen PD Dr. Jürgen Saal, Uni Konstanz, ueber Local solutions to hyperbolic Navier-Stokes equations Abstract: By means of techniques for quasilinear symmetric hyperbolic systems, we first prove solvability and higher regularity for a linearized version of the hyperbolic Navier-Stokes equations based on Cattaneo's law. Then we prove a local-in-time existence result for the full nonlinear system which is of independent interest, but represents the basis for the global existence result for small data proved by Reinhard Racke in the previous talk.
