Current Research

I work in Set Theory in the area of small large cardinals and ordinal combinatorics. In particular the focus of my research is on generalisations of the notions of closed unbounded and stationary set. Stationarity and closed-unboundedness are central concepts in set theory and important in many areas of the subject, so generalisations of these ideas have many possible areas of application.I completed my PhD exploring one such generalisation and am now working on a related concept with wider applicability.

I have also worked in non-standard probability theory, using ultrafilters to build probability functions that can give events non-zero, but infinitessimal probability. I hope to do further research in this vein here in Konstanz.
