Moment Problems and Applications - Minisymposium at DMV2015
in Memoriam Murray Angus Marshall 24.3.1940 - 1.5.2015

Universität Hamburg, September 24 - 25, 2015

Thanks

The minisymposium is over! It was a truly interesting opportunity to discover further connections between the moment problem and various areas such as real algebra, probability theory, statistical mechanics, operator theory and polynomial optimization. We believe that idea of creating a concrete encounter between the scientific community working on moment problems and their applications in infinite dimensions and the one working in the finite dimensional case has worked out very well. Indeed, we received a really positive feedback from all the participants.

The memory of Murray Marshall accompanied us during the whole minisymposium through the numerous references to his works and the personal memories shared by some of the speakers.

The organizers would like to thank very much the speakers, the participants and the DMV for making possible and successful this meeting.
